WONDERFULLY MADE –
WOMEN’S HEALTH SEMINARS

Wonderfully Made, explores the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of women’s health. Sometimes women, busy with day-to-day activities, don’t take time for their health. This monthly program provides women of all ages with straightforward information about current health topics, as well as what it takes to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The next seminar, “Caring for Your Mental Health,” will be Jan. 18 and will begin at noon in the auditorium in the Montgomery Cardiovascular Institute (Baptist Medical Center South campus), 2119 East South Blvd. A healthy lunch will be provided. Space is limited. Please register by calling (334) 273-4304.


CHILDBIRTH AND PARENT
EDUCATION CLASSES

Baptist Health offers a number of classes for prospective parents throughout the year. For times and dates, please call (334) 273-4445 for more information.


Childbirth Preparation – This five-week class meets once a week to learn ways to prepare for labor, birth and early parenthood experiences. Baptist Health employees and members of the military receive a 25 percent discount. This class is $60.


Baby Boot Camp – Montgomery – Baby Boot Camp is an abbreviated version of the Childbirth Preparation class. You will learn ways to prepare for your labor, birth and early parenthood experiences. Baptist Health employees and members of the military receive a 25 percent discount. This class is $45.

Prenatal Breastfeeding – This class provides expectant mothers with information about breastfeeding. Partners are welcome to participate. The class is $15.


Sibling Preparation – Expectant “big brothers and sisters” will learn about the arrival of their new baby through an introduction to the hospital experience and the early days at home in this one-hour class. Parents should plan to attend with their child. The class is $10 per family.


Infant Safety/CPR – This class is designed to help parents create a safe environment for their child. Child proofing methods are discussed. Care of the choking infant, infant rescue breathing and infant CPR are skills taught in this class. The class is $10 per person.
